Our Miss Minnesota mission statement: “The Miss Minnesota Scholarship Pageant is a means for statewide awareness of the Miss America and Miss America's Outstanding Teen programs. Our mission is to uphold the four points of the crown: Service, Scholarship, Success and Style.”
The Miss Minnesota Scholarship Organization aligns our support with the forever Miss America’s, our current local contestants, local titleholders, our current Miss Minnesota and all who represented our state before her. We are honored to have amazing women, such as BeBe Shopp, Dorothy Benham and Gretchen Carlson hold the title of Miss America, representing our state. These women have carried on the tradition of what this program stands for, empowering young women to have a voice in society and make a difference. The sisterhood is strong!
We continue to believe in the mission of the Miss America Organization, it’s thousands of volunteers on the local, state and national level who will continue to uphold the almost 100 year old tradition of what Miss America stands for. From the Miss America website: “Miss America is more than a title, it’s a movement of empowering young women everywhere to achieve their dreams by providing quality scholarship assistance and honoring their commitment to helping others.”
We also wish to acknowledge our support to Cara Mund, our current Miss America from our neighbor state of North Dakota. We will continue to support her and her year of service.
This organization will survive and we will be stronger as a result. We continue to support our amazing local directors and local volunteers who are the very backbone of the Miss Minnesota Organization, and all the young women who seek to be a part of this time honored tradition.
