So that you can relax and compete to the best of your ability, we have paperwork to be completed as required by Miss America. Please go through each item, download documents, read, and respond as requested.

CHOSE CONTESTANT LINE UP ORDER:  By being one of our top 5 ad sellers, you will have the opportunity to select your competition number placement first.

NEW THIS YEAR:  All contestants will be required to sell one(1) FULL ad pages, (combination of half and full, but must equal one (1) FULL)

NEW THIS YEAR:  This year the top 5 ad page sellers will be chosen by how much money they raised selling ad pages, combining half and full pages. You must sell 2 or more pages to be eligible for the top 5 placement.   AD PAGE INFORMATION

LOCAL DIRECTORS:  IF your contestants are using any professional photographers for their ad pages, YOU MUST have the Photographer Release on file in your possession and approve all ad pages before submitting to Miss Minnesota - NO EXCEPTIONS.   State will NOT be keeping the ad page photo release forms - these are for your file and will be made available to state, upon request.

What Wardrobe Do I Need?

 Private Interview 
Contestant Choice: Professional dress, pant suit, slacks and blouse, etc. No jeans, spaghetti straps, or casual clothing. No sparkles, cocktail dresses, hi-cut slits or evening gowns. Show your teen style through your clothes but keep it simple so the judges will look at you and not the dress. You want to wear the dress, not let the dress wear you! 

Opening Segment and On Stage Question
Opening number to be determined. This will also be worn for On-Stage Question competition.

Talent
Contestant Choice: Select an outfit, gown, or costume that works best with your talent. Make sure it is age appropriate. Accessorize as needed.

Evening Wear 
Contestant choice: all types of gowns, pant suits, and tuxedos are permitted. What would you walk the red carpet in at the Emmy's? Find a formal evening wear outfit that fits and accents your personality, age, and style! Shoes, jewelry, color, and style are also the contestants choice. Be unique, creative, and you! 

Lifestyle & Wellness
TOP: All contestants are required to wear Rebel Athletics, Miss America line. 
SHOES: Athletic Tennis Shoes
Ultimately, keep this teen, respectable, and something you would work out in. This statement is shared with the judges. ​

Talent Reservation, Information, Production Forms
Follow These 3 Steps!

1. Complete and submit this ONLINE form to reserve your talent ASAP.  If you have a Local Director, be sure they approve your song submission.
This is your FIRST STEP to getting your Talent approved. You will not be able to complete the rest of the talent forms until your talent is secured. This is to ensure there are not two contestants singing, dancing, playing, or performing to the same song.

2024 Teen Scholarship Opportunities

The Chantal Wilson Academic Scholarship Award - $300
The Mary Swenson Confidence and Poise Scholarship Award - $200
The Lorenz Dance & Tumbling Talent Essay Award - $125
Gabi Hebl Community Service Award - $300

All require a 1-page essay to answer the questions below.
Both must include your NAME, TITLE, AGE
Additionally for the Chantal Wilson Scholarship, include SCHOOL and GPA

T-Shirts will be presented upon check in 3/24. You will later change into them for rehearsal that evening.  Bring comfortable bottoms for rehearsals.

LABELING YOUR FILE SUBMISSIONS

IMPORTANT: When submitting any file, it must be CLEARLY LABELED and submitted as a PDF. (Except for talent tracks which will be .mp3 or .wav files.)

​How do you label your documents ?

             1. LOCAL TITLE FIRST - Example:  PERHAM Teen    or    MANKATO Teen  etc.
             2. Contestant Name
             3.Name of document you are submitting or name of music track

EXAMPLE:  If your name is Cindy Anderson and you are Miss Maplewood's Teen, your documents would be labeled as follows: Maplewood Teen_Cindy Anderson_FILE NAME

    Identify what you are sending in the dropdown selector below. You may create a zip file and upload multiple files at once - file size may not exceed 200 MB
    To create a zip file, put documents in a folder labeled with your TITLE & NAME. Compress folder to create a .zip file.

    If your submission went through properly, you will see a message on screen confirming that it was sent and get an email confirmation from the system. The state director will send you a thank you confirming she received the correct file. If there are issues, you will be informed.

    ​Issues with completing the submit have occurred when your pdf is too large. You can reduce the size of the pdf and it may resolve those issues. Google "reducing the size of a pdf" and find instructions for the operating system and software you are using and try again.
