Putting together your own Ad Page? Let's get you started!

If you are creating an ad for your daughter or a candidate who is competing for Miss MInnesota's Outstanding Teen, here are a few ideas to get you on the right path.

DUE DATE FOR AD PAGES: February 19, 2022

Ads from previous years can be viewed at the bottom of this page.

Types of Ads

There is NO right or wrong way to do this! This is your opportunity to tell more of the candidate's story to the audience.

  1. Congratulations or Good Luck Ad - Usually 1 - 2 photos of the candidate with or without her sash and/or crown
  2. Social Impact-Related Ad - This type of ad highlights the social impact and the work done - Can be 1 or more photos of the candidate doing service work for her social impact
  3. General Ad to introduce the Candidate and her interests - This type of ad may include many types of photos of the varying interests of the candidate
  4. Ad from a Business  - A business may want to sponsor an ad wishing the candidate good luck.  Note: this might be an ad that the business is paying for, so it would not be submitted here!

Ad Specs

Here are the specs how to size and save your ad.
REMEMBER - YOU GET ONE FREE AD in the program book. This link just tells you design specs: TEEN AD SPECS
Do NOT submit your ad page on that link.

Remember these few key items:
  1. Your Ad is BLACK & WHITE. Please do not submit a color ad, as it may not convert properly to black and white.
  2. Your Ad is 8 1/2" x 11". HOWEVER, you need to submit it as a HIGH QUALITY PDF with printer crop marks and bleed.
  3. HOW DO I SUBMIT with printer crop marks and bleed? The easiest way is to design it, or upload it to CANVA - canva.com, and save it as a High Quality PDF file with crop marks and bleed.

Canva has many different templates you can use, and you just upload photos and change the text! This is a free web design site.

How do I submit my FREE ad?

You may submit your FREE ad at this link. Do NOT upload any paid ads you have sold.

BE SURE TO LABEL YOUR AD

Your Ad should be labeled with your TITLE first, your LAST NAME, and FREE AD Page. For example, Julia Schumacher would be:

MinnesotaOT Schumacher FREE AD PAGE.pdf

Be sure to send a high quality PDF, Black and White, with crop marks and bleed for the printer. THANK YOU!

SAMPLE ADS

We literally took photos of past programs to show you a host of ideas! Pardon the photography, but we figured you would rather have something to see from the past!

GOOD LUCK!

If you don't want background for the bottom area, simply hover over the bottom of this image to delete it. The background of the bottom area will be a solid dark color.
