Amaya Raths, Miss Owatonna's Teen 2024, is a junior at Morris Area High School.
Amaya is very involved at her high school and is a member of student council, FFA, BPA, Anti-Vape club, Drama club, and is the Unified PE club president. She is active in softball, trapshoot, theater, and girls wrestling. Amaya started her journey as a Northern Lights princess for 4 years. She was with her Miss, Rachel, every year and even got to watch Miss America live in Atlantic City. The bond they created through the Miss Minnesota Organization has continued to grow and has helped Amaya become a strong leader with a kind heart. Amaya's CSI is "Let's Crush This! Anti-Bullying Awareness and Prevention." With her CSI, Amaya has been able to reach hundreds of kids all over Minnesota by creating "Buddy Bags" to help spread her message of Anti-bullying. Over 200 of these bags have been delivered across Minnesota to school counselors and principals to help give support to students who have been bullied. Amaya has also been a member of Sheltered Reality Drumline for 5 years. This drumline performs for schools and communities throughout the upper Midwest and they help share the message of kindness, anti-bullying, and inclusion with fun, upbeat shows. Amaya loves to spend her free time volunteering, singing, drumming, playing softball, camping, hiking, and watching her brothers race. You can follow Amaya's Journey on Instagram @missowatonnasteen |
