Lilly is a 17-year-old junior at Morris Area High School with a passion for archery and managing the softball team in the spring. Beyond her extracurricular activities, she is dedicated to her community service initiative, Think Before You Speak, which focuses on bullying prevention and fostering a culture of kindness and understanding among youth. Through her initiative, she empowers young people to lead with respect and empathy, encouraging them to make their words and actions a force for good.
Outside of school, family is at the heart of Lilly’s life. They cherish spending time together, especially in the great outdoors. Whether hiking scenic trails, exploring nature, or retreating to their family cabin, they embrace the tranquility and adventure that Minnesota has to offer. A highlight of their outdoor adventures is their beloved dog, Dixie—an energetic and lovable companion who’s always eager for a hike or a day at the cabin. Her playful spirit and unwavering loyalty make every family outing even more special, turning ordinary moments into cherished memories. From the moment Lilly started high school, she has loved being a role model for younger kids—a passion that has only grown through her role as a teacher’s assistant for third graders. Spending time with them each day gives her a glimpse into their thoughts, experiences, and the challenges they face. This opportunity allows her to actively promote the importance of anti-bullying, helping children understand the power of kindness and respect. Seeing their attitudes and actions shift as they embrace these values fills her with pride. Knowing she can make a real difference in their lives has strengthened her confidence and deepened her commitment to advocating for anti-bullying through her community service initiative. |
