Amaya Raths, Miss Perham, is a first year Surgical Technology student at Lake Area Technical College. Through her CSI, she has spread her message of anti-bullying, kindness, and inclusion to thousands of students. Amaya continues to deliver buddy bags to school counselors throughout Minnesota, directly reaching the students who are most affected by bullying. Amaya is a member of a National Nonprofit Drumline called Sheltered Reality. She has traveled all over the upper Midwest drumming for town festivals, events, and performing at school shows. Amaya loves to speak with students and spread her message. Children become eager to listen and learn when they are engaged through Sheltered Reality's fun, energetic, and upbeat drumline shows.
In her free time, Amaya enjoys weight-lifting, Trapshooting, hiking, and camping with her family. Starting her journey at the age of 5, as a Northern Lights Princess, has provided Amaya a life-long bond with her Miss Rachel. Surrounding herself with strong women for over 12 years, Amaya has the passion and drive for the Miss America Opportunity. |
