Miss Northwest Competition is open to any ladies who live within the following counties:

Aitkin, Becker, Beltrami, Benton, Carlton, Cass, Chisago, Clay, Clearwater, Crow Wing, Douglas, Grant, Hubbard, Isanti, Itasca, Kanabec, Kittson, Koochiching, Lake of the Woods, Mahnomen, Marshall, Mille Lacs, Morrison, Norman, Ottertail, Pennington, Pine, Polk, Pope, Red Lake, Roseau, Sherburne, Stearns, Stevens, St. Louis, Todd, Traverse, Wadena & Wilkin

​The Miss Northwest & Miss Northwest Outstanding Teen competitions are open to candidates with-in a 100-mile radius of Detroit Lakes, MN. Miss Northwest & Miss Northwest Outstanding Teen MUST be present during the summer during the Northwest Water Carnival.
