Morgyn Haugen is a senior nursing major at Concordia College in Moorhead. She is originally from Mankato, MN but chose to move to Moorhead for college to pursue her continued education. Morgyn has dedicated her time and efforts in and outside of school to helping others. It is her goal to continue her passion for helping others by becoming a registered nurse. Upon graduating in May, she will embark on her next step in life as a RN at Sanford Health.

When she is not studying or working one of her jobs, she enjoys spending quality time with friends and family. They will play games or bond over movies they all enjoy. She loves hanging out at home with her cats after a long day. Morgyn will never say no to a cup of coffee or tea, and loves listening to all kinds of music.
Since 2015 she has been actively participating in color guard through many organizations. In high school she was in the Mankato Area 77 Lancers Marching Band and winter guard, and in college she was part of the Govenaires Drum and Bugle Corps and is currently in the NDSU Gold Star Marching Band.

As Miss Moorhead she will use her year of service to promote the mission of Habitat for Humanity of bringing people together to build homes, communities, and hope. Over the past three years, Morgyn has been deeply involved in their organization through Concordia College’s campus sector. She took a trip to Laredo, Texas 2 years ago where she spent a week with 15 other college students working to build a better home for a couple and their two children. This experience was highly impactful to her as it provided a group that shared the same values and aspirations for safe and happy communities. After that trip, she joined the Habitat for Humanity board for her junior year of college. Now she is
the Devotions Coordinator on the board and a trip leader going to Tacoma, Washington this fall.

Morgyn is humbled and honored to hold the title of Miss Moorhead, and she cannot wait to make a difference in the community. She thanks everyone that has helped and continues to help her on this journey in her local competition and to Miss Minnesota!
