Sonia Sukumar is honored to serve as Miss Itasca and represent her community at Miss Minnesota. She is the founder of The Legal Lighthouse, a preventative legal literacy Community Service Initiative focused on empowering families with accessible information and trusted resources. Through her work in survivor advocacy and courtroom support, Sonia is committed to making the legal system feel less intimidating and more navigable for everyday Minnesotans.
A graduate with an M.S. in Marketing, Sonia also founded Reuse, ReDance, Recycle, a sustainability-focused dance initiative expanding creative access while reducing waste. She believes leadership is strongest when it combines clarity, compassion, and community connection. |
