A professional multi-genre singer, songwriter, and entrepreneur, Michelle Rose Bergh uses her
voice both on and off the stage to create meaningful impact. Performing under the stage name “Michelle Rose”, she has spent over 20 years developing her craft. She has released more than 30 original songs and over 20 music videos, many of which she has conceptualized, written, produced, and directed. Her work has earned national and international recognition, and her original song, “Christmas X12”, is featured in a full-length Christmas film. Michelle earned her Master’s Degree in Songwriting from Berklee College of Music, graduating summa cum laude with a 4.0 GPA, and is currently pursuing graduate studies in Vocal Performance and Opera at the University of Minnesota. Michelle’s passion for service began at age five, and has grown into a lifelong commitment. She has volunteered more than 2,500 hours across a wide range of causes, including providing free voice lessons to underprivileged children in Haiti, and organizing fundraising concerts and community events since childhood. Her longstanding dedication to breast cancer awareness and research was inspired at age eight, after the loss of a close friend’s mother. For nearly two decades, she has supported the Susan G. Komen Foundation as a top fundraiser, raising more than $70,000, organizing her annual “Queens & Friends” race team, and contributing behind the scenes to events such as the Twin Cities Race for the Cure. She was selected by Komen to deliver a keynote speech to 18,000 people at WE Day MN when she was 14 years old. Her current Community Service Initiative, Red Flag Relationships, is rooted in personal experience and a desire to prevent others from facing the same challenges. After navigating emotionally abusive relationships she did not initially recognize, Michelle became committed to educating others on how to identify early warning signs and take action. Through presentations and digital content, she teaches individuals, especially teens and young adults, how to recognize patterns of manipulation, control, and isolation, and how to safely leave unhealthy relationships before they escalate. Many of her original songs talk about abusive relationships, in order to raise awareness about this widespread issue. Whether she is performing, mentoring, or advocating, Michelle is driven by a deep belief that knowledge creates confidence, and confidence creates change. She is committed to using her Community Service Initiative to empower others, strengthen communities, and ensure that more individuals have the tools to recognize their worth and make healthy, informed decisions. Michelle is excited to represent Granite City at Miss Minnesota in June. See what she’s up to by viewing her social media sites: @missgranitecitymn @michellerose_music www.michellerose.com |
