Hello, I’m Mary Patterson, and I am so excited and honored to be your Miss Dakota County 2025!

I am from Lakeville, Minnesota, and in fall 2025 will be a junior at the Carlson School of Management studying Finance. On campus, I am on the executive board of UMN Scholars of Finance, a member of the Upsilon Chapter of Kappa Alpha Theta, and am an intercollegiate figure skater through United States Figure Skating. When I’m not studying or working, I can be found spending time with my sisters, close friends, and family.

My Community Service Initiative is the Power of Red: Blood Donation & Blood Health Awareness. I have been a donor since age 16, and am passionate about the benefits to both donors and recipients. Less than 1% of age eligible Americans donate even one unit of blood each year, and the nation currently has a critically low blood supply. As a titleholder, I’m working to enhance donor accessibility through an active social media campaign including weekly blood drive locations, fun facts about donation, and resources on how to schedule and prepare for donation appointments.
