Gina Cavanagh

Gina has been a part of the family owned bank, United Community Bank, since graduating from NDSCS in 1983. In 1990, the 1st of her 3 children were born and she made the decision to stay at home and be a full time mom. In 1999, she returned to work part time at Bay Window Quilt Shop. In 1998, she started helping out with the Miss Perham Pageant and became the director the following year. In 2005, the committee added Miss Heart of the Lakes for a double pageant. Karyn (Stordahl) Utecht was her first Miss HOTL and later crowned Miss Minnesota. Gina is the current treasurer for the Ladies Golf League, she has been an active member of FOCUS (Focus on Community Service) for 29 years. She was chairperson for their fundraiser for 12 years and held all offices. She was awarded the Leadership Award through the Perham Chamber of Commerce for her work in FOCUS and was awarded the Hall of Fame award for her work with the Miss Perham and Miss Heart of the Lakes Pageants. She has been married to her husband Bob for 31 years and they have three children: Pat, 26; Kari 24; and Dan 23.
