![]() Hello! My name is Marnie Shepersky, and I am beyond honored to be serving as Miss Dakota County’s Teen 2025. The year to come promises to be full of growth, challenges, and opportunities to serve my community in meaningful ways. As I look back on my life, I’m reminded of the power of perseverance, friendship, and purpose.
Swimming has always been a huge part of my life. From long hours in the pool to the mental and physical challenges it presents, the sport has taught me invaluable lessons in discipline, perseverance, and resilience. But more than that, swimming has introduced me to some of my closest friends people who have been there through the victories and the setbacks, always offering support and encouragement. These friendships are among the greatest gifts swimming has given me. I love the opportunity pageants offer to make a difference in my community while forming deep, lasting friendships with the other contestants. The sisterhood that comes with being a part of the pageant world is truly unique, and I am so grateful for the incredible "sisters" I have met along the way. Through pageantry, I have learned the power of self-confidence, advocacy, and service, and I am thrilled to continue to grow and serve as Miss Dakota County’s Teen throughout this year. One of the causes that is closest to my heart is Cancer Kids First, an organization that supports children battling cancer and their families. My passion for this cause comes from a deeply personal place, when I was just a child, my little sister was diagnosed with leukemia at only 4 months old. Watching her fight so bravely, alongside my family’s own journey through her treatment, has shaped my commitment to childhood cancer advocacy. Cancer Kids First’s mission to provide emotional, financial, and logistical support to families navigating this difficult journey is something I wholeheartedly believe in. As Miss Dakota County’s Teen, I am committed to continuing to support Cancer Kids First and the families they serve. The strength and resilience of the children fighting cancer, like my sister, inspire me every day. I encourage everyone to learn more about the organization and consider how they can help whether through donations, volunteering, or simply spreading awareness about childhood cancer. Together, we can make a difference in the lives of these brave children and their families. I want to extend my deepest gratitude to my family, friends, and the community for the unwavering love and support they have given me throughout my journey. None of this would be possible without God’s guidance, and I am truly blessed to have the opportunity to serve as your Miss Dakota County’s Teen. Thank you for believing in me and for walking alongside me as I continue to grow, learn, and make a difference. With heartfelt thanks, Marnie Miss Dakota County’s Teen 2025 |
