Meredith Habstritt, age 16, hails from Orono, Minnesota, with a dedication to leading the way for women in STEM. Launching Our World at a young age, her social impact creates climate action for a sustainable tomorrow. Habstritt’s work in the community has created partnerships with government officials and large Fortune 500 companies. Just as involved on-campus, she is a sophomore at Breck School and a member of the Advanced Science Research Program. Through this selected group and her recognition from Johns Hopkins, Meredith’s time inside the world of science has already begun and served as a catalyst for her future as a world-renowned neurosurgeon. Focused on finding a cure for Parkinson’s Disease, Meredith frequents her advanced academic classes as well as the dance studio as a competitive performer.
Recognized Nationally for her self-choreographed dance solo, she takes on mentorship roles with young dancers and emphasizes the power of perseverance. When not conducting scientific research, traveling for dance competitions, or hitting the track as a member of the cross-country team, her favorite pastime is traveling for outdoor adventures and cultural immersion. |
