This past fall, she was in the production The Hunchback of Notre Dame and the production received an Outstanding Performance rating from the Hennepin Theater Trust’s Spotlight program. Britta loves to sing and dance, and her winter months are spent competing with Bemidji's varsity show choir Volcalmotive. Vocalmotive’s competition show “Derailed” received three grand champion titles and one runner up for the 2017-2018 season.
Britta is an active volunteer in her community. She enjoys singing, and playing the ukulele at nursing homes and community events. Britta is also a volunteer with Special Olympics and at a local daycare.
The focus of Britta’s platform, Let’s Find Beautiful: Self Love and Positive Body Image, is to recognize that everywhere in the world, young people are struggling with low self-esteem and negative self-talk. Many of our youth lack body confidence because they are trying to live up to an appearance ideal from the media that is unachievable. Britta understands how they feel because this used to be how she felt. She has worked very hard to build up her confidence and work through her own insecurities. Britta wants to help other young people to do the same.
