Nancy began her pageant interest at the age of 5, the first year she recalls watching Miss America with her mother. She was crowned Miss Hibbing back in 1976 and shortly afterward moved to Detroit Lakes, MN where she became active in the Mrs. Jaycees who at that time ran the Miss Northwest Pageant. She was chaperone to Lori Saarinen who was eventually crowned Miss Minnesota 1981. Nancy served as a Field Director for the Miss Minnesota Pageant from 1978-1985 and couldn’t be more excited to again be back as a volunteer. Nancy has judged and audited numerous local pageants throughout the years along with organizing local pageants in the communities she has lived . She has been the musical director for a number of community musicals, director of her church choir and church organist and also taught piano. Nancy currently works as a manager for LPL Financial’s corporate office and has the pleasure of working remote from her home in Edina. Nancy also serves as a mentor for LPL’s Mentor Program , helping her mentees develop skills and grow their careers in the financial industry. She also serves as the Chair for the company’s Employee Resource Group WAVE (Workers with Accumulated and Valued Experience). Nancy has 3 adult children and 3 grandchildren that are the joy and delight of her life.
