Laney Vrieze, Miss Moorhead’s teen 2025, is a senior at Park Rapids Area School. After Laney graduates, she plans to attend Minnesota State University Moorhead (MSUM) and pursue a degree in Social Work. Laney has always had a passion for helping people of all ages and can't wait to touch lives in that role.
Laney likes to stay active by being a part of her school’s swim team and golf team. She is also a show water skier for the Park Rapids Water Ski Team. She performs in their shows, doing things like climbing in pyramids and skiing in the ballet line. Laney’s Community Service Initiative is titled Kinship: The Beauty of Mentoring. Kinship is all about pairing an adult mentor with a child mentee and helping them to grow a healthy relationship. Laney believes mentoring is the most important thing we can do for a young child. Laney picked this as her CSI because she had the pleasure of experiencing the positives firsthand. Laney’s family has a Kinship mentee of their own. Laney plans to continue to partner with Kinship, a mentoring program in her community, and also partner with mentoring programs in the Moorhead area. |
