Hello friends! I’m Tenley Updike, and I am so excited and honored to be serving as your Miss St. Croix Valley’s Teen 2027!
I am a high school student from Northfield, Minnesota, with a passion for dance, education, and making a difference in the lives of others. My Community Service Initiative is Tenley’s Terrific Toolbox: Tools, Teaching & Transformation. Through my initiative, I want to give young people the tools and encouragement they need to grow in confidence, discover their strengths, and create positive change in their communities. Through school visits, community events, and my Tenley’s Tuesday Tips, I hope to turn those tools into meaningful teaching and, ultimately, transformation. Dance has been a huge part of my life and has taught me so much about confidence, discipline, and teamwork. I currently dance with the Northfield Hiliners and Cannon Falls Just for Kix, and I hope to one day become an elementary school teacher and dance coach. I love the idea of combining my passions for education and dance to encourage young people to believe in themselves and reach for their goals. When I’m not dancing or working on my Terrific Toolbox, I love spending time with my family and friends, traveling, playing games, and making memories wherever I go. You can also find me making ice cream treats when working at The Blast, in Northfield. I am so excited for everything this year will bring! I can’t wait to meet new people, learn from others, serve my community, and share my journey with you along the way. Thank you for welcoming me as your Miss St. Croix Valley’s Teen. I’m so ready for this adventure! |
