I'm Rylen Schmitz, Miss Midwest's Teen 2026! My hometown is Alexandria! I'm a 17 year old Senior in high school and full time PSEO student. I attend Alexandria college and will graduate with my Behavioral Health and Human services degree in May of 2026. With this, I hope to fulfill my passion of helping people (especially youth). My long time career goal is to work in a school, whether that be as an educator or other position! Currently I work for United Way and my family's coffee shop.
An important fact about me is that I'm a dancer! Dance is my passion and has been for around 15 years! I currently am a second year captain of the Cardinal Dance Team. When I'm not dancing I love to golf, read and spend time with my friends and family. My Community Service Initiative is "The Power of U", advocating for empowerment and self confidence for all. I feel so passionately for this initiative because I believe everyone needs to hear an uplifting and encouraging message in a world constantly telling us were not enough. I live my initiative out every day by being positive, kind and always letting everyone around me know their worth! I plan to spread my passion to as many people possible this year! And I can't wait to make myself and my community proud. Being crowned Miss Midwest's Teen is an honor. It's not the crown on my head that proves this, it's the platform I now have to use my voice and be a role model. I feel so incredibly blessed to get to carry this title this next year. |
