Compete at State Competition with a Metro Sweeps Title

We are excited to announce we are accepting METRO SWEEPS candidates for the 2022 Minnesota Competition. If you have previously competed and understand how the competition works; or if you prefer to prepare for the competition independently, competing with a METRO SWEEPS title might be for you.

Steps to Register to Compete with a METRO SWEEPS

​1)  MISS AMERICA PROGRAM SIGN UP   
​If you have already done this, you may SKIP this step.
Every candidate now must first sign up with Miss America for a fee of $35. This gets you into the system and you will receive news and information to keep you up to date with Miss America as you begin your journey! 
​
2)  2022 STATE COMPETITION REGISTRATION
​If you have done this already, again, you may SKIP THIS STEP.
Now that you are signed up and have paid the $35 fee, you REGISTER with Miss America to compete in Minnesota. 

If you have not done this step, here is what you do:
  • Click the button below to be re-directed to a second Miss America Portal. 
  • You will see a fee of $75  
  • Complete the information on this page, and under "Name of Local Competition" enter METRO SWEEPS then 'Add to Cart.'
  • Complete the information and submit.

​3) PAY THE 'METRO SWEEPS' ENTRY FEE* (payment portal below) TO COMPETE AT THE STATE COMPETITION
Once you have paid your entry fee, you can download all of the paperwork and get started!

When You Compete with a METRO SWEEPS TITLE:
  • You become an official member of the Miss Minnesota Class of 2022 and will compete for Miss Minnesota June 16-17, 2022 at Grace Church in Eden Prairie.
  • You will be given your official title and will receive your official sash  
  • You make your own decisions regarding your Social Impact Initiative, your paperwork, wardrobe, talent, etc.
  • You enjoy a fun week of events with your sister queens, leading up to the competition!
  • You compete for the state title, and if you win, you will go on to compete for Miss America
  • You are eligible to apply for and win additional Scholarships at the State Level
  • You pay an ENTRY FEE of $650*       *PAY ONLY $550 if you sign up at this link by March 5
  • You receive a FREE Dale Carnegie Leadership Training Course. (Value is $1995) 
  • You may purchase the official crown for an additional fee, or you may use a crown you have from winning a previous official Miss Minnesota local competition​
