Miss Minnesota 2024
Miss Minnesota 2024 places in Top 11 at Miss America Emily Schumacher represented Minnesota at the National Miss America competition. With a representative from all 50 states, the District of Columbia, and Puerto Rico, Schumacher was called into the Top 11 on Finals Night. After a week long competition of Interview, On-Stage Questions, Fitness, Talent and Evening Gown preliminary competition, Finals Night was a culmination of hard work, preparations, and dedication.
For talent, Miss Minnesota performed a Tap Dance to Proud Mary. She wore a lilac interview dress when she spoke about her passion: Heart Health. She has traveled the state encouraging those around her to lead a heart healthy life. She has also certified countless individuals in the life saving techniques of CPR and advocated for AEDs to be everywhere, and anywhere needed. Photo by Houston Photography |

MANKATO woman crowned Miss Minnesota 2024
(Welch, Minn.) June 22, 2024 - A three-day competition of more than 30 candidates at Treasure Island Resort & Casino culminated Friday with the crowning of Miss Minnesota 2024 and Miss Minnesota’s Teen 2024. Emily Schumacher, an at-large contestant representing the title of Miss Mankato, is the new Miss Minnesota, and Brynn Olson, representing the Bemidji area as Miss Northern Lakes’ Teen, was crowned Miss Minnesota’s Teen 2024. Emily Schumacher, Miss Minnesota 2024, is the recipient of a $10,000 educational scholarship and will represent Minnesota at the 2025 Miss America competition. Schumacher works as a CNA at Mayo Clinic Health Systems and sales associate at J. Longs Lifestyle Shop. She is a 2022 Honors Graduate of Northern State University. Her community service initiative, which she will promote during her year of service, is “The Heart of the Matter,” advocating for heart health and heart disease prevention. “As Miss Minnesota, my medical expertise and the power of the Miss America Opportunity can create an incredible community that will amplify the importance of heart health and create a healthier nation,” said Schumacher. For the talent portion of the competition, Schumacher performed a tap dance to “Elvis Has Left the Building.” Emily has earned over $30,000 in scholarships by competing in the Miss Minnesota Organization, and is proud to have been also raised over $25,000 in scholarship funds. |
