2023 Miss Minnesota Scholarship Competition
June 21, 22 & June 23, 2023 We have added a second preliminary night of competition! Treasure Island Resort & Casino We are pleased to announce our new venue, sponsor/partner with Treasure Island Resort & Casino in Welch, Minnesota (just a short drive to historic Red Wing) for the 2023 Miss Minnesota Competition! We are beyond excited to continue making our Miss Minnesota competition an experience everyone will enjoy, and we look forward to many years with the Prairie Island Indian Community and Treasure Island Resort & Casino as the new "home" of Miss Minnesota! The Miss Minnesota Scholarship Organization is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization which awards educational scholarships to outstanding young women to help them academically and professionally. The Miss Minnesota Scholarship Organization is an official preliminary of the Miss America Competition, the nation's leading achievement program and the world's largest provider of scholarship assistance to young women.
About Treasure Island Resort & Casino
The Prairie Island Indian Community owns and operates Treasure Island Resort & Casino, Mount Frontenac Golf Course and Dakota Station. Treasure Island Resort & Casino is the only casino in southern Minnesota located on the Mississippi River. The property features more than 1,800 slot, video poker and video keno machines, 44 table games, a poker room and a 500-seat high stakes bingo hall. Enter the 2023 Miss Minnesota Competition:
Compete and Win A Local Title
The experience of competing and winning a local title helps you navigate and prepare for the state competition.
- You win a crown and sash and the opportunity to fulfill a year of service representing the local community which crowned you
- You receive a FREE 8-week Dale Carnegie Leadership Training Course (can be taken online) valid to take for 1 year! This is a $1995 course! Not only do Dale Carnegie Leadership training courses provide vital presentation and leadership skills, but these classes are an excellent addition to your college application or on your job resume.
- If you are a first time candidate, competing in a local competition gives you valuable experience before competing at the State competition.
- You can win scholarships at the local competition, and you can also compete for additional scholarship awards if offered at your local competition
- You will have a local committee dedicated to preparing you for the state competition: interview preparation, paperwork preparation, talent advice, wardrobe advice, etc.
- Your local competition pays the fees for you to compete at the State Competition - 2023 dates to be announced.
- Depending on the local competition you enter, you may receive a wardrobe allowance; a photography sponsor; a schedule of planned appearances in the community; and other opportunities which may arise from representing a local community
- You are eligible to apply for additional scholarships awards at the State Level
- You will crown your successor the following year when you give up your crown, unless you win the state title!
