Hi! I’m Emalee Cleveland, Miss Capital City’s Teen. I’m 16 years old and so grateful to represent my community with heart, creativity, and compassion. I’m homeschooled through Cleveland Hall Academy, where I’m working toward my goal of becoming a nail technician. I love that this career lets me combine art, creativity, and connection with others. I’m also learning American Sign Language (ASL) so I can help create more inclusive spaces and communicate with people of all abilities — something that’s really important to me.
My Community Service Initiative, SEED: Small Acts, Big Impact, is all about showing that anyone, no matter their age, can plant small “seeds” of kindness that grow into big changes in their school, community, and beyond. I love visiting schools, encouraging others to be kind, and reminding people that even one act of kindness can make a difference. Dance has always been a huge part of my life. I’ve been dancing with Just For Kix for nine years and competing for seven. My lyrical dance to “What Was I Made For” by Billie Eilish lets me express my emotions and tell a story through movement. One of my proudest moments was performing on television in front of 31,000 people at the ReliaQuest Bowl halftime show — and I’m so excited to perform there again this year! Outside of pageants and dance, I love collecting rubber ducks (I have over 300 so far!), spending time with my family, and dreaming of someday owning 500 ducks. As Miss Capital City’s Teen, my goal is to continue spreading kindness, promoting positivity, and uplift communities.
