Compete at State Competition with an At-Large Title

We are excited to announce we are currently accepting At Large contestants for the 2023 Minnesota's Teen Competition. If you have previously competed and understand how the competition works; or if you prefer to prepare for the competition independently, competing 'at large' might be for you. Sign up NOW so you can begin your service work, refine your talent, and gain valuable experience leading to the State Competition.

AMBASSADOR TITLES
 If you currently hold an Ambassador title in a different system, you may still be eligible to enter At Large, and compete for Miss Minnesota's Teen in March of 2023. Please contact Megan, the Teen Director, at: mmnot@missminnesota.org for more information.

Steps to Register to Compete At-Large

​1)  MISS AMERICA PROGRAM SIGN UP
Every candidate now must first sign up with Miss America for a fee of $35. This gets you into the system and you will receive news and information to keep you up to date with Miss America as you begin your journey!

2)  2023 STATE COMPETITION REGISTRATION
Now that you are signed up and have paid the $35 fee, you REGISTER with Miss America to compete in Minnesota. You will receive that link once step 1 is completed.  You do not have to pay the $75, but you must fill out the information, list you are in MAO Teen, select local or at large, then complete.  The $75 is automatically waived for Teen candidates.  If you have any questions, contact Megan, state teen director, at mmnot@missminnesota.org for more information.

​3) PAY THE 'AT LARGE' ENTRY FEE* (payment portal below) TO COMPETE AT THE STATE COMPETITION
Once you have paid your entry fee, you can download all of the paperwork and get started!

Additional scholarships were awarded to the finalists, and all candidates were eligible to win and apply for additional scholarship awards. 

When You Compete At Large:
  • You become a member of the 2023 Miss Minnesota's Teen Class
  • You will be given an official title and will receive your official sash 
    • starting 2/1, titles will be assigned by State Director so that your sash arrives pre competition
  • You make your own decisions regarding your Social Impact Initiative, your paperwork, wardrobe, talent, etc.
  • You will compete for the state title, and if you win, you will go on to compete for Miss America's Teen
  • You are eligible to apply for and win additional Scholarships at the State Level
  • You pay an ENTRY FEE of $650
  • You may purchase the official crown for an additional fee, or you may use a crown you have from winning a previous official local competition​
