Hailey Jutz is the 21 year old daughter of Shantel Jutz and the Late Chad Jutz of Frazee, Minnesota. She is a senior at the University of North Dakota studying Social Work and a 2014 graduate of Frazee High School. Hailey is active in many activities at UND. She is a second year member of the Dance team, an officer for the Phi Alpha Honor Society, and a Tau Sigma Honor Society member.
Hailey began dancing when she was 5 years old at Center Stage Dance Academy in Detroit Lakes, Minnesota. There, she learned all styles of dance including jazz, ballet, and tap. She was a competition team member for six years. In high school, she was a six year varsity member on the Frazee Fly Girls Dance Team performing in both jazz and high kick. During her first year on the UND Dance Team, the team placed 10th in the nation at the UDA competition in Orlando, Florida.
Hailey lost her father to suicide four years ago. After the tragedy, she realized she was not educated on the warning signs of suicide or what to do if someone she knew was suicidal. She began her platform Operation: Save a Life after learning that one in six people will be affected by suicide during their lifetime. Hailey now raises awareness to bullying, depression, and suicide and has programs to accommodate to all age groups.
