Bethany Beniek was crowned Miss Moorhead 2009 on Saturday, September 12th. The pageant was held in conjunction with "Greater Moorhead Days" in Moorhead, MN. Bethany is a Junior at the College of St. Benedict, Pre-med Dentistry major. Along with promoting the national Miss America Platform “The Children’s Miracle Network,” she will promote her personal platform “Big Brother Big Sister Organization of America.” Bethany will compete for the title of Miss Minnesota next June.

Miss Moorhead is an open local pageant. Contestants must live, work, or attend school in the state of Minnesota.

Paige Meyer was crowned the 1st ever Miss Red River Valley Outstanding Teen. The pageant was apart of the 3rd annual Miss Moorhead Scholarship Pageant and was a new addition to the "Greater Moorhead Days" Celebration in Moorhead, MN. The Miss Red River Valley Outstanding Teen program is the "little sister" program to Miss Moorhead. Paige is 16 years olds, and a Junior at Perham High School. Along with Bethany she will be promoting the national platform of the “Children’s Miracle Network,” and her personal platform “It’s NO Joke, Say NO to Smoke, a movement to stop teens before they start to smoke. Paige will vie for the title of Miss Minnesota's Outstanding Teen next June.
