Miss Heart of the Lakes 2011 is
Caitlyn Thompson!

Caitlyn is the 23 year old daughter of John and Debra Thompson. She is from Vadnais Heights, Minnesota and is a graduate from the University of St. Thomas. She has a degree in Biology and minored in Theology. She performed a lyrical dance to the song Hallelujah (Aleluya). Her platform is entitled A Ribbon of Hope - Spreading Breast Cancer Awareness and Prevention.
 

About the Pageant

Miss Heart of the Lakes is an open local pageant; contestants must be a resident or full-time student in Minnesota. The 2011 pageant was held in conjunction with Miss Perham on Friday July 29th, 2011. Ten contestants vied for the two titles. Karlie Hoekstra was 1st runner-up to Miss Perham. Heather Pearson was 1st runner-up to Miss HOTL and Brittany Tischmak was 2nd runner-up. Kari Hanson was named Miss Congeniality.

2011 marked the 8th year for Miss Heart of the Lakes. We have had one Miss Minesota - Karyn (Stordahl) Utecht, Miss Minnesota 2005 - in addition to several Top 5 and Top 10 placements.
