MISS CITY OF LAKES

Miss City of Lakes 2009 is Bethany Beniek!

Bethany is a 20 year old sophomore at the College of Saint Benedict. Majoring in Biology, her hopes and dreams is to someday go to dental school and open her own dental practice. In the meantime she stays busy with school, work, and volunteering for Big Brothers Big Sisters. Her passion for this organization led to her platform, which is entitled “Big Brothers Big Sisters: The Power of One-to-One Friendships.” She lives every day with happiness and enthusiasm and loves to get involved!

Miss City of Lakes was held in conjunction with Miss West Metro as an Open Sweeps pageant. Participation was open to all contestants who were not current titleholders in the Miss Minnesota system, who had previously competed in a Minnesota Local, and who still met all the eligibility requirements set forth by the rules of the Miss America Organization.
